We start with a great photograph. Natural daylight, no flash, high resolution- this will help me really see what your pet looks like. The more detail that’s in the picture, the more I will have to work with. At this point you will tell me any little things that make your pet unique that I need to capture: a white whiskey, black spot on the nose, etc. Commissions can take as little as two weeks depending on my schedule of orders.

Upon purchase I will send you a gift card, free of charge, to be presented to your giftee. They then proceed with the portrait process: selecting the photos, giving details and if you choose, receiving cell phone updates of their painting in progress.

One pet, head shot, 10″x10″: $225 this size results in a more gestural, impressionistic portrait

One pet, head shot, 12″x 16″: $325 the most popular size, good detail capture

Two pets, head shot or one full body, up to 16″x 24″: $500 lots of room for personality for the super, devoted pet owner- like me!

Three pets, head shot or full bodies (depending on breed!) up to 24″x 36″: $625

Other sizes available upon request

**Additional figures or detailed background: $50-$200 depending on complexity. Not available in the 10″x10″ size.

DRAWING SESSIONS

Sumi ink & brush drawings: $40 for one sketch or $100 for one hour of drawing. Drawing sessions can be done live in the Baltimore area or via a web site: Instagram, Flickr, Facebook. This usually results in 6-10 frame-able drawings.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Photo updates For an additional fee of $20 I can send you images throughout the process of painting directly to your phone! Email updates or a disk of the full process are $40. Phone updates for USA customers only.

By request, 1 1/2″ – 3″ Deep canvas’ are available, ready for hanging, no framing needed. Contact me with the size you are interested in for the upgrade cost.

SHIPPING

Flat rate UPS shipping of $20 for all drawings and paintings under 16″ on standard depth canvas to the continental US. International and larger work will be professionally packed and priced as charged through UPS.

Professional art handling is available through Bonsai Fine Arts upon request.

OWNERSHIP

While you are the owner of the final painting, all copyrights to it’s image remain the sole property of the artist, Spoon Popkin. Unless some agreement is made prior to the commission, the artist may reproduce the image however she wishes.
